This full-colour catalogue features some 2000 publicly owned oil, acrylic and tempera paintings from Kent. On display or in store in museums, civic offices and even a police station, the various seascapes, landscapes and portraits reveal much about the topography and history of the county. Artists with strong Kentish connections such as Thomas Sidney Cooper, Albert Goodwin, Charles Spencelayh and John Ward feature alongside works by van Dyck, Gainsborough, Kneller and Zoffany.
